As he celebrated his twenty-fourth birthday last Saturday (January 2, 2016), Pambansang Bae Alden Richards received a straight from the heart birthday greeting from his on-screen partner, Maine Mendoza.
The two has established an excellent foundation in their team-up, as they were tagged as 2015’s phenomenal loveteam after breaking several audio and visual records locally and even worldwide.
As Alden celebrated his birthday in the set of Eat Bulaga’s “Kalye Serye”, Maine couldn’t help herself and expressed how happy she is right now for Alden. Maine started her birthday message to Alden by greeting him. Maine said, “Happy birthday, shokoy!”

“Alam mo, isang karangalan talaga na makilala kita at siyempre maging parte ng buhay ng isang Alden Richards. Alam mo, yung pangarap mo, pangarap ko, pangarap nating dalawa, sabay nating binubuo. Isipin mo, sa dinami-dami ng tao sa buong mundo, dito na na lang sa Pilipinas, sa dinami-dami ng tao sa Pilipinas, tayong dalawa pa yung pinagtagpo ng Diyos,” Maine uttered.
Alden in return, jokingly answered Maine saying, “Alam mo kung bakit? Kasi we’re Maine to be!”
Maine also revealed that it was only Alden who made her sing in front of a huge crowd. In addition, Maine also shared that she never baked a cake for anyone even for her parents and for her ex-boyfriend.
“Pero tulad nga ng sabi ko, ngayon ko lang talaga ginawa ito para sa ‘yo. Eto na lahat ng hinintay mo sa buhay, nasa harap na nating dalawa. Ang dami pa nating pagdadaanan, tayong dalawa.Pero ayun, sana huwag kang magbabago. Stay true to yourself. I’m happy for you, Alden! Happy birthday!” Maine ended.
