Maine Mendoza pens down a heartbreaking open letter to her fans: “I feel like I live in a box”

“Eat Bulaga” host Maine Mendoza has finally spoke up about her feelings and the issues she faces everyday as a celebrity as she wrote down a heartbreaking letter to her fans. In a post from her blog called, “mainemendoza.com” she penned about her thoughts on stardom.

She said that with her newly found fame, came along hardships from the many criticisms she has received throughout her career. The Kapuso star felt the difficulty of expressing and being true to herself without facing backlash from her supporters. According to Maine, she felt that she was living inside a box and was being controlled by her so-called “fans”.

She said, “I am grateful to have all of you who have walked this path with me. But I need to be honest, I am at this point where I feel like I live in a box. I have not been able to do what I want and say what I feel because every time I try to express my thoughts and feelings, some of you tend to misapprehend and invalidate them in so many ways.”
