Maine Mendoza pays tribute to her idol Regine Velasquez

“Eat Bulaga” host Maine Mendoza felt honored that she was given a chance to watch her idol, “Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez upclose on stage during her recent “R3.0” concert.

In a long post on Instagram, the “Eat Bulaga” host instantly turned into a fangirl as she shared her experience during the concert and expressed her feelings of admiration towards the singer.

She wrote, “It was such a wonderful show and I cannot thoroughly express how amazed and touched I was during the concert. GRABE. Bawat kanta, kahit na yung mga hindi ko alam, tagos ‘gang puso. Thank you Ms. Diane for giving us the chance to watch! And thank you Ms. @reginevalcasid for being you.”

She continued, “You always rock big time– in so many ways and so many levels. Thank you for inspiring so many people. Always know that you are worthy to be loved and adored by EVERYONE. I had such a great time tonight! Maraming salamat po sainyo.”

If I am not mistaken, the first concert I went to was Ms. Regine's. I was I think around 10 years old when my parents took us to a concert. My family were seated on the general admission area and I can still remember how amused we were even if we were super far from the stage, kahit na ga-bigas sa liit si Ate Reg! But tonight, I was fortunate enough to watch the Asia's songbird live again– and this time up close! It was such a wonderful show and I cannot thoroughly express how amazed and touched I was during the concert. GRABE. Bawat kanta, kahit na yung mga hindi ko alam, tagos 'gang puso.
