After getting bashed because of his “KPopanget” remark on ABS-CBN’s Sunday variety show “ASAP” on February 28, 2016, Kapamilya actor-host Luis Manzano clarified the misunderstanding through Twitter.
Just hours after the show, Luis received numerous Twitter mentions concerning his “offensive” comment towards the KPop community; in which the Kapamilya actor-host immediately addressed the issue.

Luis first clarified the issue by saying that he was pertaining to the show’s assistant director and a crew member when he made comment.
“The joke was on our assistant director and one of our crew dahil nagpapacute sila sa camera, joke was on them”
The Kapamilya actor-host also explained that the “offensive” comment was meant as a joke to his co-workers by saying,
“Sila ang inaasar ko dahil nag fefeeling “KPOP” cute sila, so sabi ko baka kpopanget dahil feeling sila”
In defense of himself, Luis also entertained some hate tweets and personally replied to them.
