Chairman and CEO of Film Development Council of the Philippines Liza Dino-Seguerra suggested that it would be better if BB. Pilipinas Universe Maxine Medina uses an interpreter / translator during the Miss Universe pageant.
This after Maxine received a lot of comments regarding her English proficiency. But Liza said there’s more to a woman than a good command in English.

On her Facebook page, Liza posted the following:
“Focus on her strength. Hindi nya kailangang piliting magpakabihasa sa Ingles para Lang magkaroon ng edge para manalo. Bakit Hindi Kumuha ng translator para mas Malaya nyang masasagot ang mga tanong?
We should celebrate her! Hindi kahinaan ang Hindi kabihasaan sa Ingles! There’s more to a woman than a good command in English.”
