Lead singer Of Rock Band Survivor Died at 63

Lead vocalist of the 80’s rock band Survivor, Jimi Jamison, has passed away from a heart attack.

According to reports he died last Sunday night, August 31, 2014 at his Memphis home.

This sad news of his death was confirmed by the bands official Twitter account and Facebook page.

“Survivor is very shocked and saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his family and friends,” the band said.

Jamison’s voice is behind Survivor’s greatest hits like ‘The Search is Over,’ ‘Burning Heart,’ ‘I Can’t Hold Back,’ ‘High on You,’ and ‘Is This Love.’

He also sang ‘The Moment of Truth’ from ‘The Karate Kid’ and the ‘I’m Always Here’ from the TV show ‘Baywatch.’
