During the launching of the BIR 2017 Tax campaign launch held at the PICC, President Rodrigo Duterte revealed that actress Kris Aquino texted him and asked him not to go after her brother, former President Benigno Aquino III.
In a live telecast aired on PTV 4, President Duterte said he is not after the former President but simply wants to know the truth.

“Si Kris nag-text. ‘Huwag mo namang ipakulong si Noynoy’,” President Duterte said. “No Kris. I am not out to find faults. I just want to know the truth,” President Duterte added.
