“Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino recently admitted to the public about the time she experienced depression and now, she opened up about how she overcame such a dark time in her life.
In an interview with PEP, the “Queen of All Media” shared to fans about how she overcame her problem with depression. She stated, “I think, kasi, I’m a single mom in her mid-40s. Of course, ang hirap to reinvent and I had to reinvent myself now. So, yes, there was a time when I was really feeling down.”
During the interview, Kris mentioned about the things she did that helped defeat depression. She said, “What I really did is that almost every day, nagsimba ako. I believe that you should also, number one, never stop praying.”
She continued, “Two, hold on to your family and your closest friends because they’re not gonna leave you behind. Three, believe in yourself. Yun talaga, because there will be setbacks. It’s not possible that there won’t be setbacks. But the nicest thing about life is that, when you have faith, hindi ka pababayaan ni God.”
i prayed my Rosary on the way home (i have a favorite app) or we listen to acoustic praise & worship music… i read my NYT, WSJ & WP ipad editions after my hot shower, & i like to read inspiring gratitude/thanksgiving quotes on Pinterest right before i sleep… i came across this & it felt written for me. NAMAOS na ko, no talk day tomorrow, lots of sleeping, and will just go to 6 PM Mass. Yes, again weird ako, pero na MISS kong maubusan ng boses dahil dumire-diretso ang pag ho-host & pag interview. So tonight i thanked God for letting me appreciate needing vocal rest, and blessing our home w/ peace & quiet because at least for the next couple of days, the super daldal Mama will be 🤐. Good night, sending you all my love, appreciation, and gratitude. P.S. HAPPY 56th birthday to my super simple, very shy, but consistently reliable sister Viel. ❤️❤️❤️
