The Queen of All Media has yet to renew her contract with her mother network, ABS-CBN after spending around two decades with the network.
During the special farewell episode of her weekday morning talk show “Kris TV,” the 45-year-old actress-host shared that the ABS-CBN executives were considerate enough to give her an indefinite leave and offer a contract after her “wellness break.”

However, Kris revealed that she had to turn down the offer because she does not want the network to wait for her when she, herself, remains unsure when will be the right time for her to come back in the industry she has known for 20 years.
“‘Yung bosses sa ABS-CBN from Boss Gabby (Lopez) to Tita Cory (Vidanes), they offered me a contract. ‘Yung talagang sinabi nila ‘Pirma ka, once you’re ready, you’re here.’ And then I said, ‘I don’t wanna do that to you kasi what if hindi pa ako ganoon ka-galing. And ayoko rin naman naging stagnant kayo kasi dynamic itong trabaho natin.'”
