After their “what could have been” love story, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista remained as good friends.
In an Instagram post, Kris expressed her admiration to Herbert and congratulated him after he was confirmed as one of the Philippine Army’s newest reserve officer.

Kris wrote: “Congratulations to the newly confirmed Brigadier General Herbert Bautista, Philippine Army (Reserve). Very proud of you. Ngayon, hindi na lang #saQuezonCitylahatpanalo #serviceforthecountry”
The two reportedly had a relationship that almost led to marriage back in 2014 but the mayor cancelled their planned wedding.
In 2017, Herbert proposed once again but Kris turned it down due to responsibilities they had been dealing with even before they met.
