Kobe Paras wins FIBA under 18 Slam Dunk competition

Filipino young pride, Kobe Paras, also son of PBA Legend Benjie Paras, won the world Slam Dunk contest in the FIBA under 18 competition with another jaw-breaking aerial stunts that defeated international contenders, Jaleck Felton of the United States, Agustin Da Costa of Uruguay and Mark Boros of host Hungary in Debrecen.

In the final round, Felton scored 29 points when he picked up a pass and slammed it. It gave the American a total of 83 points. At this rate, Kobe needs a perfect 30 points to edge Felton who already had 54 points going into his final attempt.

However, Kobe managed to end the final round with a reverse windmill jumping over his teammate. His teammate positions the ball upward. He jumps over his teammate, then grabs the ball from between his legs and slams it. Thus, this Los Angeles Cathedral High standout, garnered perfect 30 points from the judges in his final dunk. Kobe remains to be the king of slam dunk, defending his title.

Congratulations Kobe!
