Kim Chiu joins duathlon race

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu just finished her first duathlon race of the year held in Clark, Pampanga on Sunday, February 25.

According to Kim, “its been months since I stoped biking and running outdoor, doubted myself at first if I could finish the race”, but she ended the race strong and got 10th place in her age group category. Kim ran 4 kilometers, biked 25 kilometers and ran again for another 4 kilometers.

“trust yourself that you can do things you thought you can’t.” yesterday I finished my first duathlon race of the year with zero training!🏃🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️its been months since I stoped biking and running outdoor, doubted myself at first if I could finish the race,.. 4km 25km 4km sounds easy but the first run got me nervous after I passed the starting line dun palang nag sink in “OMG nasa race pala ako!” 🙈😅 the bike course also got me, never ending UP HELLS to the NTH level!!!🔥⛰ thought of giving up or go down and just push my bike upwards but I told myself “NO!” “its all in the mind!” “kaya ko to!” then I did it!!!!😁 people asked me why I join this kind of sport, do I really want to get that podium finish? I said NO. joining this kind of races makes me know myself even more, every race I discover something new about myself. It pushed me to my limits out of my comfort zone, I have to finish this thing on my own, my own body, my own mind, my own strength, not depending on anyone else’s ability. just like in normal life pag may problema ka you want to give up, if nahihirapan kana you ask help and be dependent to someone na akala mo mas kaya nila than you. But NO!!!! You can do it, just believe in yourself, it may be hard in the mid part but nothing compares the feeling when you reach the finish line with your head up high and get that finisher medal with people saying “CONGRATS nagawa mo”!!!!❤️ finished 10th place in my age group category!😁 double tap on the back self! hihi #TrustYourOwnAbility but one thing I also learned from this race is not to race if you didn’t train coz that was hard!!!! hahahhaha (thanks for reading my long caption hihi)😁 #GOforMedalsKSYC
