KC Concepcion’s paternal sister Gabrielle “Garie” Concepcion steps out of her sister and father, veteran actor Gabby Concepcion’s shadow as she makes her acting debut with a bang by portraying a lesbian role.
In an interview with Push during her film’s screening on Thursday (March 17, 2016) at the Gateway mall in Quezon City, Garie shared her sentiments as she explores the industry her father and sister belong in.

Garie will be playing a supporting role in the comedy film “Straight to the Heart” which is a part of this year’s CineFilipino film festival. For the first time ever, Garie will be part of the big screen as she portrays the role of a lesbian.
“I’m very, very excited and at the same time kinakabahan. Kahit na it’s a supporting role I feel very privileged and happy that I’m part of this film.”
The young actress also mentioned that she exerted a lot of effort in preparing for her first ever movie role considering that she has never been attracted to the same sex. Aside from attending acting classes, Garie said, she went on and talked to girls who can relate to the role she is tasked to portray.
