Last November 5, 2015, Elaine Gamboa Cuneta passed away due to internal bleeding and complications from abdominal surgery. She was 79.
“I just lost the love of my life today. My Mita will forever be the BEST GRANDMA EVER. She will forever be with me. I love you, my Mita” tweeted KC Concepcion.
A year has passed and KC still misses her Mita Elaine and remembers their special moments. On her Instagram account, KC posted a photo with a message dedicated for her Mita Elaine:
“Hello, November. Today (last year) is the day i faced my biggest fear. I lost the love of my life, my grandma, Mita Elaine. She was feisty, funny, strong, wise, fun and always wanted everyone to enjoy life and each other. Her love for life is still contagious. She asked me to pursue acting, film & TV life, so that she could have something to watch, to look forward to. She would be the first one in the cinema for premiere nights, first one up & dressed for gatherings, events & reunions. I don’t remember her only on special days. She is part of me. She is alive, in me, for always. May you touch the lives of your own loved ones, as Mita has ours- especially mine. #AmorePerSempre #ILoveYouMita #ElaineGamboaCuneta #GoGirl #RestInParadise”
