KC Concepcion denied rumors and speculations that she is planning to join the world of politics because of her interest and active participation in the United Nations.
In an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” last Tuesday (January 12, 2016), the actress assured the public that she mainly wants to extended a helping hand and contribute whatever she can to help people.

“Ang focus namin is disaster control. Nakita nila na number two ang Philippines sa most disaster-prone countries in the world. Knowing that, we are obviously centered on food, keeping people healthy sa mga times na nadi-displace sila or nare-relocate sila. It’s really focusing on the people na tinatamaan ng mga kalamidad.”
She also pointed out that the United Nations is not a political institution; rather, it is a humanitarian organization.
“There’s no other goal than kung ano ‘yung ginagawa ng organization. To begin with, United Nations is neutral. Ibig sabihin hindi siya political. We work with governments, local and national. It’s an organization that works outside [politics]. It’s a humanitarian organization.”
