Senator Juan Ponce Enrile was rushed to the Makati Medical Center due to pneumonia. The 91 year old senator who is currently in hospital arrest due to alledged pork barrel fund scam was said to be having high fever and was already coughing up blood.
Bringing Senator Enrile to a hospital with better faciities is allowed based on a standing resolution by the SandiganBayan that the senator can be moved to another hospital in case of emergency.
Senator Enrile will undergo test and will be brought back to the PNP General Hospital once he recovers.
