Actor John Regala confirmed that it was him who was seen seated on the steps of Savemore Zapote supermarket in Cavite. His photo went viral after a certain Bhadloy Lopez posted the actor’s photo on Facebook.
In an exclusive feature of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) on GMA-7 last Sunday (February 19, 2017), John clarified that he did not suffer a heart attack but simply got dizzy because of extreme heat.

“Nangangatog yung tuhod ko eh, biglang nawalan at nag-pass out talaga ako, ” said John. “Hindi ako na-stroke at hindi po ako inatake sa puso, malakas po ako. Katunayan eh malakas na malakas pa ako at kaya ko pa lumabas (sa pelikula).” added John.
On the said feature, John got to meet Toto, the person who helped him during the said incident and thanked him and his fans for helping and praying for him.
“Akala ko wala ng nagmamahal sa akin. AKala ko nakalimutan na ako ng tao. Kaya minsan nade-depress ako dahil mahal na mahal ko mga taga-hanga ko. Ngayon ko napatunayan, hanggang ngayon pala ang pagmamahal pala ng tao ay nanatili pa din sa akin,” John said.
