John Legend recorded a song in PH

International singer and song-writer John Legend arrived in the Philippines last September 24, 2014 for his concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

But not all are informed that besides his concert, he was also here to record a song for the soundtrack of the sensational movie adaptation of the bestselling novel by E. L. James, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

On the day before his concert, John Legend went to Spryta Productions, Inc. in Mandaluyong.

According to Yahoo Philippines the international singer was brought in the studio by the promoters of the concert.

“He recorded a song which I guess is for the upcoming movie ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ because that’s the name of the pro tools project file that came from him” sound engineer Boyet Carlos Aquino of Spryta Productions, Inc said to Yahoo Philippines.

The sound engineer also described John Legend as one of the nicest guys he have worked with and that he really knows his way in the studio.

“Alam niya kung ano gusto niya, tsaka mas importante, alam niya pag nakuha na niya yung take. He did 5 or 6 takes, then listened to it one by one, he asked me to do a vocal comp from those takes that he chose” Boyet Carlos Aquino added.

Boyet Carlos Aquino is also a musician and was the drummer of the late great Master Rapper, Francis Magalona.
