As Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza’s fandom grows bigger, so is also the rise of a handful of “AlDub” bashers.
As ‘AlDub’ became popular not only on television but also in social media, the teamup has also been constantly bombarded with intrigues.
These include fandoms’ war on social media, a ‘photo scandal’ of Alden and other entertainment personalities who were questioning the popularity of ‘AlDub.’

However, amidst the issues hurling on their loveteam, Maine and Alden kept silent and shrugged off these controversies.
Meanwhile, fellow Eat Bulaga colleague Joey de Leon pleads to ‘AlDub’ fans to ignore the bashers and to forgive them. Through his Twitter account, he wrote:
“AlDub Fans: Wag nang pansinin umaaway sa inyo’t naninira sa AlDub. Forgive them for they do not know what to do anymore.#ALDUB7thWEEKSARY”
“Naninira o hindi ay pareho lang fans. TAGAHANGA. May humaHANGA at may kaya ginagawang manira dahil may TAGA.#ALDUB7thWEEKSARY #EatBulaga”
The veteran host also reminds ‘AlDub’ fans to be humble.
“Ayan na, “If you can’t beat them, USE them!” Nangyayari na. Just be cool friends. Rejoice but be humble.#ALDUB7thWEEKSARY #EatBulaga”

In the end, the comedian-TV host implied that those bashers were the ones who are having a hard time with their problems.
“Hindi nyo ba napansin, wala munang Problem Solving? E kasi napunta muna sa iba! Ang LAKI ng PROBLEMA nila! O, sa Sabado”
