After receiving several negative remarks from netizens, business tycoon Joel Cruz released an official statement addressing the controversial photo of his baby nurses who was seen wearing masks during the baptism of his new twins.
Last Monday (January 18, 2016), Joel held the baptism of his second twins—Prince Harvey and Prince Harry—together with his family and friends at Santuario De San Antonio – Forbes Park. Hence, on a photo shared by ABS-CBN news anchor Julius Babao on his Instagram account, numbers of netizens reacted upon seeing the nannies of the twins wearing masks.

As for some, Joel seemed to discriminate and degrade his caregivers for asking them to wear masks on a solemn occasion.
In a text message sent to ABS-CBN showbiz correspondent Mario Dumaual on Wednesday (January 20, 2016), Joel explained the main reason why he had to ask his caregivers to wear masks during the baptism.
