Nobody expected it to happen but during the segment of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” of “It’s Showtime”, one of its regular host Jhong Hilario announced that he will be leaving the noontime show where he has been a part for four years. Jhong gave his farewell message to the cast and followers of the said daily noontime show.
The message of Jhong is short and direct to the point:
“Last day ko na ngayon sa Showtime. Mami-miss ko kayo. Gusto kong lang magpasalamat sa lahat sa inyo. Direk Bobet, thank you so much. Salamat.” said Jhong.
The audience were obviously surprised with the announcement.
No details were given as to the reason why Jhong will leave the program but people are speculating that it may have sommething to do with Jhong’s decision to run for councilor in Makati City in the upcoming elections. The campaign for local positions will start soon.
Host Mariel Rodriguez wished Jhong goodluck and said they are proud of their Kapamilya.
