Didith Garvida, Jessy Mendiola’s mother, defended her daughter amid the “malicious” headline ABS-CBN wrote after actress Sue Ramirez was named as the new South Korea tourism ambassador, succeeding actress Jessy Mendiola on December 19.
In a Facebook post, ABS-CBN wrote the headline “Sue Ramirez replaces Jessy as Korea tourism Ambassador” which caught the attention of Mrs. Garvida, saying the news title is a bit malicious.

“Nilagyan ng malisya ang headline..hindi po actually taon taon nag papalit ng pagiging ambassador but then almost 3 years na rin si Miss Jessy na nag service for the Korean tourism..please do not give malice..its about time to give way to others…maging maingat lang tayo sa pag comment po..total wala naman ginagawa si Miss Jessy sa inyo nag tratrabaho lang..may cyber law na po and its a crime..salamat have a happy holiday..” Garvida wrote in the comment section.
