After bagging the Best Actress award in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for two consecutive years, Jennylyn Mercado said that she will not be joining this year’s MMFF.
Jennylyn confirmed reports that her film with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin, which was slated to be an MMFF entry for 2016, will not push through due to her tight schedule. After the Ultimate Star renewed her contract with her home network GMA 7, Jennylyn is kept on her toes with the many projects she is working on.

“Kung pwede, o kung maisisingit ko, pupuwede, kaya lang hindi talaga kakayanin, eh,” Jennylyn said in an interview with Push.ph.
“Lalo na ngayon, October, kailangang nakapasa na ‘yung pelikula, so, kailangan, ibig sabihin, ngayon, nagtatrabaho na ako. Eh, paano yon, di ba? Kaya malabo talaga,” Jennylyn added.
Jennylyn also dismissed rumors that GMA 7 stopped her from continuing her project with Star Cinema.
