Amidst the controversy surrounding the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015, actress Iza Calzado congratulated Maine Menzoza (aka Yaya Dub) for winning the Best Supporting actress for her role in “My Bebe Love”
On her Twitter account, Iza said she was not aware that she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and was surprised to see lots of senseless bashing.
“To Regal Films and Direk Jun Lana for giving me an opportunity to be a part of their MMFF Film. I am happy for Maine for winning. I’m sure She gave her best. I’ve liked her from the first dubsmash video I saw of hers. So stop fan wars pls. Congratulations Maine! All the best!”
Maine bested veteran actresses Nova Villa, Lotlot de Leon and Iza Calzado for the said award.
