Iyah Mina is the first trans woman to win Best Actress award in PH

“Mamu; And Another Mother Too” star Iyah Mina made history in Philippine cinema after she was hailed as Best Actress at the 2018 Cinema One Original Awards Night— the first trans woman to win the said award.

Cinema One Originals said in an Instagram post that Iyah’s victory is also a celebration of equality apart from the celebration of original Philippine movies.
