Is #TheDress Blue and Black, or White and Gold?

The internet was taken by storm with a simple yet mysterious dress showing up on every news feed of different social media sites.

The dress that conveys the question “What color do you see?” become viral as Netizens debated on weather it is really colored white and gold, blue and black or even blue and gold.

Some even tried putting the image of the said dress on Photoshop just to determine the real color.

According to an article by Time Magazine, there is no right or wrong answer.

A color-vision researcher at the University of Washington in Seattle named Jay Neitz, says the actual physiology of your eye might come into play with how you perceive the dress. According to Neitz, an individual’s lens, changes over the course of time. Individuals are less sensitive to blue light when they are older. This could explain why older ‘netizens’ are seeing white and gold. But, in the lack of evidence relating to age and perceptions regarding the dress, this theory cannot be proved yet.

It can also be explained on how the dress is captured in camera, color should be easily identifiable whether you’re in bright or dull lighting and things can change if the lighting is colored.

In the end expert agreed that we can only really identify the real color behind #TheDress if we see it personally.
