The movie “Heneral Luna” is the country’s official entry to Oscar’s Best Foreign Film Category come 2016.
The announcement was made on the movie’s Facebook page:
“We are happy to announce and share with everyone the good news: HENERAL LUNA has been selected as the Philippines’ Official Entry to the 2016 Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film Category!”
Heneral Luna stars John Arcilla as the general, Epy Quizon, Joem Bascon, Archie Alemania, Aaron Villaflor, Nonie Buencamino, Ronnie Lazaro, Ketchup Eusebio, Paolo Avelino, Mylene Dizon and Mon Confiado as General Emilio Aguinaldo.
The movie is directed by Jerold Tarog.
