Forbes magazines recently released the latest list of richest persons in the world and some Filipino billionaires made it to the list.
From his humble beginnings, Henry Sy of the SM Group ranks 73 in the world and is the richest Filipino with $14.2 billion. He is followed by John Gokongwei Jr. of JG Summit Holdings with a net worth of $5.8 billion (254 in the world).
Third is Enrique Razon of International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) with $5.2 billion (291 in thw world). In fourth place is Andrew Tan of Megaworld with $4.8 billion (330 in the world).
And making up the top 5 list is Lucio Tan of LT Group with $4.4 billion (369 in the world).
The world’s richest man is Bill Gates of Microsoft with a net worth of $79.2 billion, followrd by Carlos Slim Helu & family with $77.1 B and third is Warren Buffett with $72.7 billion.
