Filipino director Joshua Ortiz bags the “Most Unique Short Film” in the Matt Damon-Ben Affleck produced Greenie Awards, with his film “Listen”. according to a report from wheninmanila.com, Ortiz competed against 20,000 entries sent by filmmakers around United States and won the title in the inaugural annual Greenie Awards under Project Greenlight, under the production of Hollywood A-listers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

He filmed Listen in 5 days with his Canon T3i DSLR and a meager budget $30 (approximately P1,290.00) and used his friends as cast members. The aspiring director’s other works involve projects for Shaquille O’Neal and radio commentator Monica Bay.
Project Greenliht is an HBO miniseries that documents the hardships, struggles, success and accomplishments of aspiring filmmakers around America. Now that the competition is over, Project Greenlight will now focus on the winners’ journey from pre-production, actual filming, to post production.
