Enrique Gil on Liza Soberano: “You know that I’ll always love you”

Despite her non-traditional, bohemian-themed debut celebration last January 3, 2016, ABS-CBN’s Sunday variety show “ASAP” prepared a debutante ball-like production number for Liza Soberano.

The budding actress was able to experience the traditional kind of debut after performing a special ASAP production number that resembles a debutante’s 18 roses—wherein her on-screen partner and real-life suitor Enrique Gil happened to be her 18th or final rose.

Enrique also shared his sweet birthday message for his “Baby Hopie” that says,

“Ang wish ko para kay baby Hopie, I hope you never change. I hope you always pursue your dreams that all your family can be together. Stay the same. You know that I’ll always love you. We’ll always love you.”

Liza, on the other hand, expressed her happiness despite being overwhelmed with the celebration that was rather unusual for her.

“I am happy. Actually this is not the kind of thing I like. I get really nervous and tensed. But masaya pala siya. I’m really happy that they are all here on stage with me.”

The young actress’ 18 roses consisted of her family and friends from the industry namely Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Ogie Diaz, Robi Domingo, Joey Marquez, Bankie, John Lucas, Alex Diaz, Jerome Ponce, Julian Estrada, Yves Flores and Diego Loyzaga, three younger brothers, grandfather, biological father, and on-screen partner Enrique.
