Pupil frontman Ely Buendia was bashed because of his joke about the song “Ligaya”, a song popularized by Eraserheads. On his Twitter account, Ely tweeted the following:
“Eh sariling thesis ko nga di ko magawa-gawa sa’yo pa.”
The word ‘thesis’ is part of the lyrics of the song “Ligaya” – “Gagawin ko ang lahat pati ang thesis mo / Wag mo lang ipagkait ang hinahanap ko.”
The joke did not sit well with the fans and followers of the Eraserheads and started bashing the former frontman of Eheads.
Ely then posted a series of tweets to address the concerns of the fans:
– Number 1 requirement for an Eheads fan: a sense of humor.
– If you can’t crap in your own toilet you are truly f***ed.
– “I’d rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I’m not.”-K. Cobain
– That whole Ligaya episode has proven one thing: Eheads is a can of worms I’d rather not open anymore. And I don’t intend to take up fishing.
– Haters I can take. Eheads fans who hate on me? There’s something wrong there.
