After the news break out about former child star Jiro Manio staying at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City for four days, a lot of people as well as celebrities expressed their sympathy over the current situation of the former child actor.
In his Twitter account, the multi-awarded director Direk Joey Javier Reyes expressed his disappointment on how the media handled the coverage about Jiro. He even described it as “heartless”.

According to him, what the former child star needs now is support and respect in his saddest situation. He said:
On the other hand, Jiro finally reunites with his family after staying at the airport departure’s area for four days and already underwent medical checkup. His abrasions were also treated.
