Director Mike De Leon expressed his sentiments about the recently hekd ABS-CBN Ball attended by the biggest and brightest Kapamilya stars.
The said ball, aside from being the most anticipated celebrity gathering event in the network, is also a fund-raising event which will benefit Bantay Bata 163 for the re-launching of Children’s Village which serves as the home for children who are victims of abuse.

In a Facebook post he shared in Citizen Jake’s account, the “Batch ’81” director asked a question regarding the event which gained mixed reactions from netizens.
He wrote: “Many people will not like this question but I have to ask it – In these dark times of murder and hunger, who really needs the ABS-CBN ball? Bread and Circuses again a la Imelda Marcos. – Mike De Leon”
