At the 6th anniversary celebration of “Its Showtime” that ended Saturday (October 24, 2015), Vice Ganda issued a statement saying it was never their goal to compete with Eat Bulaga but instead to compliment the objective of EB to provide entertainment and happiness to the Filipino people.
“Ang sabi ng boss naming, sino ba ang nagsabi sa inyo na tatalunin niyo ang Eat Bulaga? Di naman namin kayo lalagay sa noontime para talunin ang Eat Bulaga. Sasamahan niyo lang sila sa pagpapasaya.“ said Vice.

The statement drew mixed reactions from viewers and netizens, mostly saying it was a last ditched effort to save the program.
Deniece Cornejo posted on her Facebook page what she thinks about what Vice said:
“I hope this will serve as a lesson. Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you. #tamangpanahon”
