You read it right, the award winning film ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ will have a sequel to be released in August 28, 2015.
With Netflix entering the world of movies, they have started with ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend’. The sequel will be streamed online and will be shown in selected theaters next year.
Netflix has been a threat to the US television industry with its original scripted programming and its release of entire seasons of shows like ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Orange Is The New Black’.
With Netflix new venture their goal is to to give audiences worldwide “unparalleled flexibility in how, when and where they enjoy a major motion picture.
‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend’ is produced by the Weinstein Company which is also behind blockbuster hits like ‘Django Unchained,’ ‘The King’s Speech’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.
