The Court of Appeals ordered the arrest of TV host Willie Revillame re-affirming a decision made by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Quezon City on charges of child abuse and child exploitation.
The charged emanated from an episode (March 12, 2011) of “Willing Willie“ aired on TV5 where he made a six year old boy named Jan-Jan dance like a male stripper.

According to legal experts, the act has to contend with Section 3 of R.A. 7610, or Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, which defines ‘Child abuse’ as the maltreatment, whether habitual or not, of the child which includes any of the following:
(1) Psychological and physical abuse, neglect, cruelty, sexual abuse and emotional maltreatment;
(2) Any act by deeds or words which debases, degrades or demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of a child as a human being.”
