Claudine Barretto on Raymart Santiago: “We are now friends”

After being involved in a public legal feud before, former couple Claudine Barreto and Raymart Santiago are now friends. It could be remembered that Claudine accused Raymart of physical, sexual, psychological and economic abuse while Raymart claims he was a victim of domestic violence, thus leading the case to who will get custody of the kids.

In an interview with Claudine on Aquino and Abunda Tonight, she shares how things are going between her and Raymart.

When asked if she and Raymart were already friends, Claudine directly answered “Yes” without hesitation.

“Tinawagan ko sya kanina. Tinanong ko sya [before the interview]. Sabi n’ya ‘kaya mo yan’. Tapos thumbs up tapos sabi n’ya, ‘para saan ‘yan?’ Sabi ko, [sa Aquino and Abunda]. Tumawag s’ya tapos sabi ko, ‘question lang Mart, sabi ko, friends ba tayo?’ Tapos tawa s’ya ng tawa. Sabi n’ya, ‘of course. Oo friends na’. Kasi hindi ko alam kung civil ba o friends ba tayo? Friends na daw so okay friends na kami,” said Claudine.

“We’re so blessed kasi sa Branch 192 ng Marikina, ‘yung Judge Macaraig, [Hon. Geraldine Fiel-Macaraig] she both acknowledge both kay Raymart and sa akin na talagang inupo n’ya kami at pinaintindi na hindi tama itong ginagawa ninyo. You have to stop it… After that, yung relationship namin is okay,” added Claudine.

Based on their respective Instagram posts during the past few months, it seems that the former couple have patched things up. They even posted a photo of their family on Sabina’s 11th birthday last June 19, 2015.

Claudine is finally making her showbiz comeback in her home network (ABS-CBN) as she is to star in a movie titled “Etiquette for Mistresses” with Kris Aquino, Iza Calzado, Kim Chiu and comedienne Cheena.
