Here is Charice’s full post:

“Before I sleep, i would like to post this photo to boost your faith in humanity.
Went to a 7 Eleven store to grab something, yes, I love going to 7 Eleven randomly. Anytime. These 3 kids saw me and they were like “Hala, may artista oh!” (Look! There’s a celebrity!) then I joked “Ha?! Nasaan?” (What?! Where?!) and they laughed. I decided to get them some snacks because I was curious about what they were doing there LATE AT NIGHT.
Me: Anong ginagawa niyo? (What are you doing?)
Them: Nagsusulat po ng kanta. (Writing songs)
Me: ha?! Wow! Para saan? (What? Wow! For what?)
Them: para sa Church po namin (for our Church)
That shocked me. Then I asked them if they all sing. The kid wearing blue shirt and the kid sitting next to me said they do rap and the kid wearing a green shirt said he sings. I even joked about it and said “Hala, dalawang rapper (wrapper) edi palaman ka?” (Referring to the green shirt) and they laughed. They did a sample. They did this inspirational rap/song about reaching your dreams and no matter what your status in life, you will work hard and get it. I was so mesmerized. These kids hang out every night to make music and they’re like what?! 10-12 years old?! No gadgets, no anything. Just papers and pencil and their bond as friends. It made my heart melt. If I was only a verrry rich person like others, I would use that wealth to help these talented people. The only thing I did that night is made them feel close to me and not feel like they are different. Made them smile and happy. My 2 rappers and my lumpia. Hehe.
This is the kind of situation where you can say:

Kabataan, ang Pag-asa ng bayan.
They still prove it. Marami parin. Kailangan lang mapansin at tularan ng iba.

And dagdag ko lang po.
Sa ibang kabataan na iniisip na madali lang ang lahat. Think again. Lahat pinaghihirapan. Lahat nagdadaan dapat sa challenges.

Don’t wish it. Work hard for it.”
