Brian Poe Llamanzares, the son of presidential candidate Senator Grace Poe was critized by netizens for posting a photo of him wearing a 2011 Nike Mag10 Back to the Future II Marty McFly 2015.
The shoes is said to costs $19,999 or over P950,976.00 based on eBay.
Senator Grace Poe said that her son saved the money from his job as a neophyte reporter from a TV station to buy the shoes. Senator Grace is also asking the public to spare his family from controversies and politics.
On the other hand, there are reports indicating that the “Back To The Future” shoes worn by Brian are simply replicas and not the original. The replicas can be bought for only $125 to $385, way way below the original price.
Brian is yet to comment on the said controversy.
