Boy Abunda to Manny Pacquiao: “You crossed the line!”

Out of pure disappointment, King of Talk Boy Abunda broke his silence and expressed his rage toward People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao after releasing his controversial statement concerning the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community.

On the Tuesday episode (February 17, 2016) of his late-night talk show host “Tonight With Boy Abunda,” the veteran host released his official statement and stand on Manny’s controversial comment on same-sex marriage.

Boy opened his statement by using Manny’s analogy on same-sex marriage— where the boxing champ used the phrase “mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao” to elaborate on his point.

“Kung ang tao ay nanakit, kung ang tao ay nangyuyurak ng karapatan ng ibang tao, eh gugustuhin ko na po maging hayop. Kung ang ibig sabihin po ng hayop ay gumagalang, ibig sabihin ng hayop ay nagmamahal, then I am an animal.”

Moreover, Boy compared the LGBT community’s modern day struggle for equality to that of America’s civil rights movement in 1960s and women’s crusade in fighting for the right to vote. He also pondered that he and the rest of the LGBT will not stop and back down from fighting for equality and dignity by saying,
