Kapamilya actress-host Anne Curtis was elated after finding out she was accepted to be a participant of the 2017 Boston Marathon a few weeks ago. But in a sudden turn of events, Curtis recently revealed that she will no longer attend the marathon.

In an Instagram post, Curtis said that she wasn’t allowed by her “Showtime family” to attend the upcoming Boston Marathon because of the new rules of the noontime show.

“When you get this in your mail but sadly, will no longer be able to run the marathon of your dreams 💔 Unfortunately, my Showtime family did not allow me to leave due to our new rules. Which I understand completely and have to respect and obey… AND since it’s my birthday month I will not allow it to burst my happy bubble. Crossing my fingers and toes I will still be given this opportunity another time. Nonetheless, thank you @chrissportsph for giving me this chance!!! Truly grateful!!!! Will still continue training hard! ❤💔❤ @kuyakim_atienza go kill it for me!!!! 💪🏼 #neverdone #patriotsday #bostonmarathon”

Last November, Curtis participated in her first marathon in New York City, where she ran through the five boroughs of the city.
