Anne Curtis finishes first 21k run for “Heroes for Children” project

Not only advocates attended the UNICEF Heroes For Children’s Run, celebrities graced the running event as well. Among the celebrities who showed their support for this event are Dingdong Dantes, Solenn Heusaff, and the organizer herself, Anne Curtis.

Anne Curtis, UNICEF’s Celebrity Advocate for children, organized the Heroes for Children Run with the goal to collect funds to support children from impoverished families to receive the nourishment that they need in their formative years. The event featured 500-meter dash for children, 5k, 10k, and 21k distances for adults. Anne Curtis’ support for the event went beyond merely organizing the event when she finished the 21k track herself.

The actress took her time to thank the public for their support through her instagram account.

On her Instagram account, Anne Curtis thanked all those who participated

“And just like that I finished my very first half marathon. 21km done
So hard but so worth it. The children were my inspiration to cross the finish line. Thank you so much to all the HEROES that came to run today! I owe the success of my very first fundraiser as a UNICEF Celebrity Advocate for Children – the #HeroesForChildrenRun to all of you. On behalf of UNICEF Philippines, myself and all the children you will help from today’s run, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU so much! @unicefphils

See you all again next year!!! #ANNEventureTo21km”

The successful event was held last October 25, 2015 at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.
