According to an article in Philippine Star last September 1, 2015, close associates of Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte relayed the information that the said Mayor is definitely running for Presidency in the upcoming 2016 national elections.
Just like the 10,000-person crowd who attended a big rally organized in Davao City by the Duterte for President Movement.
Actress Angelica Panganiban already made her choice, she will vote for Mayor Duterte for President.

In an Instagram post by Angelica, she believes that Mayor Duterte as the next President will give hope for the country.
With an image of the Mayor and the words “Keep Calm Change is Coming” Angelica captioned the photo with:
“YES there’s hope Pilipinas!!!”
