Kapamilya actress Andi Eigenmann clarified about her comment on Instagram, wherein she said that she “left showbiz” to focus on being a mom to her daughter, Ellie.
In an interview with CNN Philippines, the Kapamilya actress talked about her controversial comment. She then clarified that she meant leaving the life of a star, but not quitting as an actress. She stated, “I was born into the film industry and acting and filmmaking is something that I’ll always be passionate about.”

“It’s just that I feel that I grew out of that whole showbiz stigma, I don’t want to force myself to be perceived as a person [who] I’m really not.”
Andi stressed out that she is not leaving the film industry, She clarified, “In short, hindi naman sa iniiwan ko ‘yung film industry pero ayaw ko na ng showbiz.”
