Amalia Fuentes complains she was left out of Liezl’s life

The remains of Anna Lisa “Liezl” Sumilang-Martinez, were cremated at the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City last March 16, 2015.

Her love ones and close friends, her family and her parents was there to bid goodbye.

After the cremation, Liezl’s mother, Amalia Fuentes, told media that for a very long time she was left out of her daughter’s life.

“For the longest time, I was never a part of her life but I was always there for her” Amalia exclaimed, saying that she stayed on the sidelines because it was Liezl’s husband, Albert Martinez wish.

“The last time I talked to her, she was all alone in her bedroom and she was crying, she was alone for heaven’s sake,” Amalia added.

Amalia also said that she and her ex-husband Romeo Vasquez were not even mentioned by the host during the ceremony at the said chapel. She said that she was not inform about the cremation and was just treated like an ordinary guest and not as a family member when she arrived.

“The host of whatever is this place mentioned everybody [even Liezl’s friend], everybody except me and her father. Bobby [Romeo’s nickname][who] spent one week with Liezl in California [and there was no mention of the two of us],” she shared.

As a mother she said that when she found out that Liezl passed away, it was the worst day of her life.

“Liezl is irreplaceable in my life. She is my only child, I was thinking I will not experience this day, which is the worst day of my life” Amalia uttered.

Liezl died on March 14 after battling breast cancer. She was 47 years old.
