Kapuso phenomenal star Alden Richards gained another life milestone after receiving a nomination in the prestigious New York Festivals for his mini-series, a GMA7-produced BayaniSerye called “Ilustrado.”
Alden portrayed the iconic role of Philippines’ national hero, Jose Rizal in “Ilustrado,” which happens to be the first ever BayaniSerye presented by GMA News and Public Affairs. The said mini-series premiered last October 20, 2014.

Years after the premiere of the series, Alden and the team behind “Ilustrado” were recognized after being named as the country’s official entry in the Best Mini-Series category of the festival.
The winners of New York Festivals 2016 will be revealed in its upcoming gala night; which is set to happen on April 19, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
