No one expected it to happen, even Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza as their rise to fame is like a Cinderella story so to speak. The loveteam AlDub is such a phenomenon that it has become a lunch companion for most.
One can almost guess how many product endorsements and invitations the two have been receiving since their mere appearance will definitely draw a huge crowd.
In an interview with Inquirer.net, Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto stated that Eat Bulaga has barred Alden and Maine from participating and attending political campaigns. They are not even allowed to talk about politics in public.
Being in the industry for quite some time, the Senator said he is certain that fans of AlDub will be disappointed if the two will be involved in politics.
