Last July 11, during the press conference held at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, Yes! Magazine unveiled Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza as Yes! Magazine’s Most Beautiful Stars for 2016.
Celebrating their first anniversary as a love team this month and their much-awaited film ‘Imagine You and Me’ opening in cinemas on July 13, there’s no stopping this loveteam!

Alden and Maine join the ranks of Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, and Marian Rivera who landed on the magazine’s cover in previous issues.
When asked what they felt upon receiving the news that they will be on the cover of Yes! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars issue, Maine told the reporters that she was surprised by the news while Alden answered that it was a fulfillment of his dream.
“Honestly, nagulat po ako kasi alam naman ng lahat na ang lagi kong ginagawa is lukutin yung mukha ko. Sobrang struggle po sa akin yung mag-keep ng ganyang pose,” Maine shared.
“I’ve been part of Yes’ 100 Most Beautiful Stars for six years. And lagi kong sinasabi sa kanila na dream ko, sana, one day, maging cover naman ako,” Alden said.
However, the two stars agreed that beauty is not only skin-deep.
“For me, being beautiful is not about the physical appearance at all. For me, it’s what is on the inside. If you are a good person, if you have genuine intentions. That’s the definition of beautiful for me. The physical attributes are only secondary,” Maine said.
“For me, you’re a beautiful person if you value the relationships you have with people,” Alden said.
