Stage actor-comedian, Nicco Manalo also, son of comedian, Jose Manalo was happy that finally, he’ll be having a regular show on ABS-CBN. In an interview with push.com.ph, Nicco revealed that he wants to become part of Kapamilya a long time ago.
He shared, “First series ko po ito na parang regular kasi puro guesting lang yung dati, eh. Ewan ko lang kung puwede nang sabihin. Hehehe! Excited ako kasi parang ako yung comic relief sa show.”
Nicco did not deny that somehow, he adapted some of his father’s comedic styles. He said, “More or less yung humor namin is pareho lang, medyo sarcastic, ganu’n.” However, he also clarifies, “yung iba kasi natutunan ko na rin sa mga experiences ko sa theater. Pero ako, I would like to think na kaya kung gawin lahat. Kasi kung anong pinapagawa sa akin I take it as a challenge, gagawin ko lang.”
When asked if they were still able to communicate, “We communicate naman. May communication kami pero we haven’t seen each other in a long time. Text lang. Mas sa text. Siguro taon na rin na hindi kami nagkikita. Busy din kasi siya, nagtatrabaho din ako,” sagot niya.”
He added, “What I’m working on is kung paano maaayos, paano magkakasundo. Maaayos in a sense na okey naman sila ngayon, nagkakausap naman sila.”
Nicco also admits that he’s no longer looking forward for reconciliation between his parents, “Yung sine-settle nila sa court, I think, naayos naman nila. Hindi rin naman ako masyadong nakikialam dun. Kumbaga, yung usapan nilang dalawa, sa kanilang dalawa lang yun.”
Nicco is one of the lead stars of movie, “Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa”. The said movie was an entry of Filipino New Cinema section in the World Premieres Film Festival Philippines which would be shown in SM Cinemas starting June 24 to July 7.
